Three types of materials that can be sprayed on the surface of grain steel silos for corrosion protection
Release Date:2025-09-20 13:12:49
For grain steel silos, surface corrosion prevention is crucial. Corrosion on the surface poses a serious threat to the stability of the grain steel silo. Therefore, we generally apply a certain material to the surface of the steel plate to isolate it from the atmosphere, thus achieving the effect of corrosion prevention.
Firstly, we have aluminum, which is commonly used. Aluminum has excellent oxidation resistance. We can spray a layer of aluminum on the surface of steel, as aluminum has strong resistance to atmospheric corrosion, effectively preventing steel plates from corroding.
2. Secondly, regarding paint, whether it's zinc spraying or painting, the outer coating layer combined with anti-corrosion materials can isolate the steel plate from external contact, preventing corrosion of the steel plate and thereby extending the service life of the steel silo. It is crucial to grasp this point and strictly control quality to ensure the service life of the steel silo!
3. Another example is zinc, which we often refer to as galvanized steel silos. We can also apply a layer of zinc onto the surface of steel silos. Zinc, like aluminum, serves a similar purpose and effectively prevents steel corrosion.
